Kellen is Of Counsel at Putterman Yu Wang LLP handling a broad range of civil cases, including contract disputes, property issues, and employment law matters.
Prior to joining Putterman Yu Wang LLP, Kellen gained valuable litigation experience in workers’ compensation defense, representing employers and insurance carriers in cases involving workplace injuries and claims. This background has honed her ability to navigate the intricacies of complex claims and liability issues, providing her with a unique perspective that benefits her current civil litigation practice.
Kellen earned her JD and LLM in Taxation (with honors), from Golden Gate University. While attending law school, Kellen interned for three years with the Tax Appeals Assistance Program, litigating in front of the California Board of Equalization on behalf of clients facing violations and tax penalties assessed by California Franchise Tax Board.
After passing the bar, Kellen began her legal career making estate planning and tax services available to low-income individuals. Kellen litigated against the Internal Revenue Service, California Franchise Tax Board, and the California Employment Development Department.
Kellen served as co-chair of the Palo Alto Area Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm committee from 2015 to 2016.
Kellen has been recognized as a Northern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine each year since 2022.
