Constance Yu, George Chikovani Present CLE Program on Use of Artificial Intelligence in Legal Practice

Putterman Yu Wang LLP partners Constance J. Yu and George Chikovani helped present a Continuing Legal Education titled “Innovation and Imbroglio: Adapting to Artificial Intelligence in Legal Practice” at the San Francisco Lawyers’ Club Inn of Court. Constance served as the program leader.

In traditional Inn of Courts style, the presentation took the form of a series of skits illustrating different applications of Generative AI, including: the privacy implications of analyzing client medical records; the use of an AI agent to assist in a deposition; the use of both general-purpose and specialized legal tech chatbots like ChatGPT for legal research and writing; and evaluating whether video evidence presented at trial may be produced by “deepfake” technology.

Background materials for the program, which include links to relevant articles and studies, as well as excerpts of applicable rules of professional conduct, can be found here.

The other panelists in the program were Margaret Ziemianek of Hanson Bridgett LLP; Kelsey Campbell of Boucher LLP; Frank Sommers of Sommers Law PLC; and Michael Balisteri of Robert Half.
