The Firm has announced Philip J. Wang as a new name partner, changing its name to Putterman Yu Wang LLP.
Phil has more than twenty years’ experience representing clients in a variety of complex litigation and enforcement matters, including commercial disputes, patent claims, trade secret misappropriation cases, shareholder lawsuits, antitrust matters, supply chain disputes, and government enforcement actions.
“We knew when Phil joined us that he would be an outstanding fit with the firm, both professionally and personally,” said partner Donald J. Putterman. “The last few years have proved that expectation to be true. Phil’s an excellent lawyer with a first-class mind, and we are delighted to have him as a name partner of Putterman Yu Wang.”
Phil joined the firm as a partner in June 2019. Prior to joining Putterman Yu Wang, Phil practiced at Latham & Watkins LLP and Stoel Rives LLP.
“We are so pleased to have Phil recognized as a name partner of our firm,” said partner Constance J. Yu. “He is an aggressive trial lawyer and his professional expertise complements our existing firm’s practice areas and gives greater depth to our trial teams.”
“I’m humbled to have my name alongside that of Don’s and Connie’s,” said Phil. “It’s a true joy to practice law together.”
Phil obtained his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and clerked for the Honorable John Feikens of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
